Random Quotations Appear Here
I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.

This site is for me and some family and friends.  Feel free to look around.  We're mostly a bunch of old former military types that hang out and jaw about the coming badness and how to maybe survive it.

There is little point, none actually, in paying any attention to the mainstream "news" media.  Newspapers have been useless for many years, and the only legitinate television outlet is compromised to a considerable degree.  The main social media sites are heavily censored and are monitored by the government.  The best sources of information are the numerous small websites, many of which are more current than the dinosaur media ever can .  Many are updated constantly 24/7, and have contributors with experience with and inside connections.  My favorites are over there (--->) and I'll try to keep some regular commentary going.  Lot of stuff happening, much of it outside the U.S. but will affect us here, likely sooner rather than later.

Anyway, looks good so far.  Holler at me over at HypCryme if anything is broken.  Someone will get it to me.    AS

These are few of my favorite blogs. Here's the top five. All are recommended for at least three daily readings. They stay on top of things as well as anyone.

This may change, but here's a start. Open all

A daily must-read. Over 20 years of calling them right, good international connections.

Vox Day

In the style of the disgraced Drudge, updated regularly throughout the day.

The Liberty Daily

Similar to above. Nice thing is these sites are about info, load fast with minimal bloat.

Citizen Free Press

Free Republic is one of the oldest patriot blogs. Like the others, a lot of links to other blogs so you can try them out and bookmark the ones you like.

Free Republic

Hide5 is a recent discovery. Small group of engaged observers. The format is a little weird, and it takes a bit of filtering, but up-to-date.

Here are some good international sources.

Don't let the "Russia" part put you off. Good source of fairly straightforward reporting. NOT a cheerleader for Russia, just happens to be based there.

Russia Times

British tabloid, probably the best for no-agenda reporting. Haven't looked the other major ones - the Sun and Mirror - but will take another look.
